Eligibility Criterion

However, before you sit in the PMP exam you need to satisfy the basic qualification for the same. These primarily refer to:

To possess a high school diploma, an associate’s degree, or the equivalent of these from the country in which you reside.
You also need to have at least 5 years of experience as a project manager in a professional setting with a minimum of 7,500 hours as the leader of the project assigned.
You can also be considered if you have completed a bachelor’s degree and have at least 3 years of experience as a project manager in a professional setting with a minimum of 4,500 hours as the leader of the project.

It is important to mention that many times the relaxation in the fee for the course is nearly about 50% if a person is a member of PMI. Moreover, there is an approximately 35 hours of training after which a person can decide the date ant venue where to give the test. Now after you have finished the 35 hours project management education, you have to take this PMP Certification exam in a test centre. There are certain steps to complete your PMI application. When PMI accepts your application, you have to schedule your exam date in a test centre convenient to you.

Fee Structure

The PMI membership fee can vary depending on the type and internal policy of the concerned PMI. Hence, PMP certification cost depends mostly on the type, of course, the candidate is interested in and decide to take up.

If the candidate chooses to get his project management education through an online course, the total PMP Certification cost will be approximately 900 USD for him/ her, which also includes the exam fee. On the other hand, if the candidate chooses to continue his/her preparation with a PMP certification classroom training, the PMP Certification cost will be approximately 2,700 USD, which also includes the exam fee.
