In 2022 new PMP examination content was published online. This document defines the syllabus/content of the PMP exam. This means that the PMP is currently changing the PMP Exam pattern to match with the new syllabus and the new examination, which will be held in the Year 2022.
Briefly, the current PMP exam is based on 5 performance domains but in 2022, the exam will be based on 3 performance domains. These domains are explained in the PMP exam content outline.
Here is what the change from 5 to 3 domains means:
PMI published the new exam content outline on 30 June 2019. The new outline is ‘radical’ but extremely valuable departure from all previous exam content outlines. The new PMP exam will require candidates to have experience in and answer questions from three domains:
- People (42%)
- Process (50%)
- Business Environment (8%)

Rescheduling or Cancelling PMP Certification Fee
Although you have booked for PMP Examination and paid the fee for it. Suddenly due to certain circumstances, you have to change the date of examination or cancel it. In such conditions, you may or may not be able to get the refund or get the alterations done without paying any thing extra. This depending upon the following conditions: –
- More Than 30 Days = No Fee
- Less Than 30 Days, But More Than 2 Days =$70
- 2 Days or Less = Loss of the entire exam fee
It is recommended that you cancel or reschedule your PMP Exam as soon as you realize that you won`t be able to appear for the examination. Otherwise, you will have to pay the rescheduling fee or the cancellation fee. The rescheduling or cancellation fee would be zero if done before 30 days, prior to the date of the exam. Otherwise, if the cancellation or rescheduling is done in less than 30 days from the date of exam the rescheduling or cancellation fee has to be paid.
