What NCLT means?

The Central Government has constituted National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) under section 408 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013) w.e.f. 01st June 2016.
Is NCLT equal to High Court?

NCLT and NCLAT are judicial tribunals that exercise the jurisdiction previously vested on the High Courts. Hence the standards and qualification of its members should necessarily confirm, as nearly as possible to the qualification of High Court Judges.
Who can present case in NCLT?

Every petition, application, caveat, interlocutory application, documents and appeal shall be presented in triplicate by the appellant or applicant or petitioner or respondent, as the case may be, in person or by his duly authorised representative or by an advocate duly appointed in this behalf
Can employees file case in NCLT?

But, neither the NCLT nor the appellate authority, NCLAT, disputed the fact that employees fall within the ambit of operational creditors and can initiate an insolvency resolution process against their employer.
What is the difference between NCLT & NCALT?

The NCLT is the adjudicating authority for insolvency resolution process of companies and limited liability partnerships under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. Decisions of the NCLT may be appealed at the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT).
