How to take PMP exam and what is the criteria for it?

The exam taker is only judged on their proficiency on 175 questions.

Passing the PMP exam is  difficult just like any other professional exam. The aspirant has to prepare himself for the exam very well in order to pass the PMP exam in flying colours.

The PMP passing score during 2005 was 68.5%. That means the aspirant has answered 137 questions correctly out of 200 questions. But now the passing score has increased drastically to 80.6%. That means the aspirant has to score 141 out of 175 questions correctly in four hours.

As we all know how the pandemic has affected the world . This also has impacted the aspirants who wish to  take the PMP exam on this year (2020).  However the PMI institute  has come with innovative options to take the exam from home and schedule his exam.

According to the updates from the Institute , all the candidates who are able to proceed with scheduled exam  need to consult the test center information in your specific location at Pearson VUE’s Coronavirus Update Page  which is updated regularly.

For that candidate who has already scheduled the exam but cannot take the exam due to government restrictions or delay in training. In such a case, PMI will offer these candidates to reschedule the exam. All paid fees will be eligible for a refund and can reschedule without any penalty until further notice.

The institute has extended the access to the current PMP exam until 31 December 2020 and postponed the launch of the new PMP exam until 2 January 2021. The institute has also launched online proctored testing (OPT) to take the exam online  from the convenience of their home.

As a precautionary measure the PMI has advised all the candidates to follow travel advisories and use individual discretion pertaining to worldwide travel as it related to PMI- sponsored events.
